Placements24 is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end procurement of logistics and warehousing services on a remote, international basis. • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field.

• Expertise in negotiating complex global contracts and relationships with multinational 3PLs.
• In-depth knowledge of global trade, Incoterms, and international shipping modes.

About the Role

This is a fully remote, high-impact position for a Global Sourcing Manager specializing in logistics and warehousing solutions. Our client is a rapidly expanding international e-commerce enterprise seeking to optimize its global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and contracting with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, warehouse operators, and freight forwarders across various international markets. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for logistics and warehousing services, aligning with the company's expansion goals.
• Identify, vet, and select high-performing 3PL partners, freight carriers, and customs brokers worldwide.
• Lead complex negotiations for master service agreements (MSAs), warehousing contracts, and freight rates, ensuring competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for all logistics partners, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Conduct thorough market intelligence and analysis of global logistics trends, costs, and regulatory landscapes.
• Collaborate closely with internal operations, e-commerce, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of sourced solutions.
• Develop strong, strategic relationships with global logistics partners, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through robust due diligence, contingency planning, and performance management.
• Oversee the implementation of new logistics solutions and support operational teams during transition phases.
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with international trade regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a significant focus on logistics and warehousing.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large international logistics spend and achieving substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in negotiating complex global contracts and managing relationships with multinational 3PL providers.
• In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, customs procedures, Incoterms, and international shipping modes (ocean, air, road, rail).
• Exceptional analytic, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing at executive levels.
• Demonstrated success in a remote-first work environment, with excellent self-management and virtual collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in advanced supply chain technologies, TMS, WMS, and ERP systems.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
