Sporty Group in Cape Town is seeking a dynamic People Operations Partner to enhance the employee experience and enable our teams to thrive. You will lead end-to-end HR processes, partner with leaders, and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance across South Africa.

In this role you’ll support multiple geographies, drive data-driven HR reporting, and help implement scalable People practices in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 4+ years in People Operations, HR Generalist, or People Partnering roles.
• Experience owning monthly payroll in South Africa and understanding statutory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of SA employment practices, POPIA, and HR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, probation, performance management, and daily People support.
• Provide practical People advice and support across lifecycle: team effectiveness, engagement, relations, and changes.
• Partner with managers to translate team needs into People solutions aligned with policies and priorities.
• Provide cross-geo People Operations support and cover across locations when needed.
• Develop and deliver People strategies with regional leaders in South Africa.
• Own the SA monthly payroll process with Finance and stakeholders.
