Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Media Communications Manager to lead our client’s media relations and crisis communications from a fully remote setup. You will craft press materials, manage global media relationships, and drive brand messaging across digital channels.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, PR and corporate teams, organize virtual press events, and monitor campaign performance. A strong track record in high-stakes communications and leadership in a remote, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in media relations and public relations, preferably with global scope.
• Proven track record of developing and executing media campaigns and managing crisis situations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling and presentation abilities.
• Deep understanding of the media landscape, traditional and digital, with strong journalist relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated media communications strategies to support business objectives and brand reputation.
• Manage all aspects of media relations, including proactive pitching, reactive response, and journalist/influencer relationships.
• Write and edit high-quality press releases, media advisories, talking points, and PR materials.
• Oversee crisis communication planning and execution with timely responses.
• Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign performance to provide insights.
• Collaborate with global marketing, PR, and corporate communications teams for message consistency.
• Organize virtual press conferences, media tours, and online events.
• Be a main contact for media inquiries and spokespeople training.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging media platforms.
• Manage external PR agencies and vendors as needed.
