Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in media relations and communications management, with a significant portion in a senior capacity.
• Proven success in developing and executing national and international media relations strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
• Strong network of media contacts across various industries and regions.
• Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote setting, collaborating across time zones.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic media relations plans to enhance our client's brand visibility and reputation.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers worldwide.
• Craft compelling press releases, media kits, thought leadership articles, and other communication materials.
• Manage all media inquiries, coordinating interviews, press conferences, and media briefings effectively.
• Proactively identify media opportunities and pitch stories that align with our client's objectives.
• Develop and execute robust crisis communication strategies, acting as a key point of contact during sensitive situations.
• Oversee media monitoring and analysis, providing actionable insights and regular reports to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with marketing, digital, and content teams to ensure integrated communication strategies.
• Manage external PR agencies and provide guidance on media outreach.
• Stay abreast of global media trends and best practices to continuously improve our client's communication efforts.
