Job summary

Euromonitor International in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Management Accounts Team Lead to head our Finance Centre of Excellence. You will lead and develop a newly established team, ensure timely monthly management accounts, and provide robust financial analysis to support decision-making.

This hands-on role combines technical accounting with people leadership, overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and collaboration with global finance teams to drive process

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong management accounting experience within international organisations.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing finance teams.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge in multi-entity environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts in line with group reporting deadlines.
• Ensure P&L, balance sheets and key metrics are accurate and supported by analysis.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide insightful variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of Management Accountants.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners on budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Present financial results and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global finance teams for consistent reporting.
• Lead month-end close activities and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify process improvements including D365 enhancements.
