Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Manager in Cape Town to lead and mentor our Business Services team, focusing on financial reporting for private debt portfolios and NAV calculations. You will implement procedures for the Cape Town office and ensure high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3–4 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
• Understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting.
• Strong managerial and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Joint responsibility for development of the teams in Cape Town and day-to-day financial reporting and client portfolio management.
• Manage specialised services teams on all aspects of financial reporting with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate NAVs, Management Reporting and Statutory Reporting to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory obligations.
• Provide quality control prior to review and approval of payments, calculations and transactions.
• Develop and implement entity-specific reporting procedures and ensure compliance with local laws and GAAP/IFRS.
• Develop divisional policies and support implementation of new structures.
• Oversee day-to-day tasks, delegate across managers, and support new structures.
• Act as primary point of contact with auditors for planning and coordination of audits.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and train junior staff.
