Job summary

Placements24, on behalf of a multinational leader in specialty chemicals, seeks a Lead Chemical Process Engineer to drive global process innovation from a remote location. You will spearhead design, scale-up, and optimization across manufacturing sites, ensuring safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency.

You will mentor diverse engineering teams, collaborate with R&D and operations, and champion best practices in process design and execution while traveling internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with global project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and implementation of innovative chemical processes across global manufacturing sites.
• Oversee the design, scale-up, and optimization of complex chemical manufacturing systems, focusing on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to global engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct in-depth process analyses, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to enhance throughput and reduce operational costs.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in process engineering.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines for major process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all global processes adhere to the highest safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with R&D, operations, supply chain, and other departments.
• Develop and deliver training programs on process engineering best practices to international teams.
• Act as a key technical advisor for process-related capital expenditure projects.
