Job summary

Unifi Group is expanding its learning and development function to support growth across Africa. The Head of L&D will drive the group-wide agenda, shape strategy, and ensure learning initiatives translate into practical on-the-job improvements, across markets including South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

You will lead a high-performing L&D team, oversee the learning management system, and manage external training providers to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in learning and development, instructional design, HR or related field.
• 8+ years experience in a similar role leading L&D across different markets.
• Experience designing, delivering and measuring high impact creative learning solutions beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the group wide learning and development agenda to build capability and enable employees to perform at their best.
• Shape and execute the learning strategy for the group.
• Identify capability gaps and close them with effective learning solutions.
• Design, develop and facilitate induction, role-specific pathways, change enablement and management training.
• Ensure learning programs deliver real business outcomes and transfer to on-the-job application.
• Oversee external training procurement and manage providers for quality and measurable outcomes.
• Lead and grow the L&D team and manage the learning management system end to end.
