Job summary

Unifi Africa is seeking a Learning Designer to craft engaging, practical learning experiences for operational teams across Africa. You will partner with business units, SMEs, and facilitators to translate performance gaps into effective training, covering in-person, virtual, and self-paced digital formats.

The role requires strong design skills, stakeholder management and the ability to travel across Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
• 8+ years of designing learning for operational environments such as client service, call centres or back-office teams
• Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
• Experience in conducting learning needs analyses and translating requirements into practical learning solutions
• Experience developing high-quality learning content including facilitator guides, learner guides, e-learning and assessments
• Experience designing learning for in-person, virtual and self-paced digital environments
• Experience with LMSs and digital authoring tools
• Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
• Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
• Willing to travel across Africa

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across Unifi to understand business challenges and translate them into practical learning solutions
• Work with subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps and convert them into engaging learning experiences
• Develop learning needs analyses and map business requirements to training curricula
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to design effective learning experiences
• Create learning materials aligned with Unifi's design and learner experience standards
• Collaborate with facilitators to ensure materials are easy to deliver and fit purpose
• Continuously update content with stakeholders as things change
• Stay curious about new learning approaches and technologies
• Foster a culture where learning is simple, useful, and energising
• Travel across Africa when needed
