Job summary

Family Office in Johannesburg seeks an independent, highly structured Human Resources Business Partner to join the People Management team on a 6-12 month contract. You will manage a detailed operational transition and provide continuity in daily HR administration and initiatives to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Based at the Melrose Arch/Illovo Sandton head office, the role requires engaging with senior executives while executing daily workflows and supporting HR

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or closely related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR or people management experience in a sophisticated environment.
• Solid knowledge of labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Programme Implementation and Compliance: support execution, monitoring, and compliance of HR policies across multiple international units.
• HR Systems Project Support: maintain employee databases and support HR systems project implementation during the contract term.
• Analytics and Reporting: prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and key people metrics for leadership review and decisions.
• Performance Management Oversight: coordinate and monitor performance management across entities for consistency.
• Employee Communication and Support: provide advisory support on HR queries and policy interpretations to managers and staff.
• Executive Support: assist the Head of People with recruitment processes, assessments, contracts, and employee relations.
