Job summary

Joubert & Associates in South Africa is seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to help lead its horticultural bioscience business through its next growth phase. The role reports to the Managing Director and offers broad executive responsibility across operations, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial activities.

You will translate strategy into actionable plans, oversee major projects, drive efficiency, control budgets and cash flow, and build a high-performance management culture.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification will be beneficial.
• Proven experience in Agriculture or Horticulture.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PBR International team and drive growth initiatives.
• Translate strategy into measurable plans and outcomes.
• Oversee key projects and ensure effective execution.
• Develop systems to enhance efficiency and cost management.
• Manage budgets, cash flow and financial performance.
• Provide regular reports to the Managing Director.
• Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.
