Job summary

Africa Global Logistics South Africa provides end-to-end freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution services with deep knowledge of local and international regulations. This permanent Durban-based role focuses on reviewing and processing customs adjustments to ensure compliance, liaising with brokers, and supporting audits.

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
5+ years in customs compliance or related areas.
Knowledge of tariff classifications, valuation, and country-of-origin rules.
Experience with customs management systems and ERP.
Familiarity with duty drawback and post-entry adjustments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review customs entries, declarations, invoices, and supporting docs for accuracy.
Identify discrepancies in duties, taxes, tariffs, valuation, and origin declarations.
Prepare and submit customs adjustments and post-entry modifications.
Liaise with brokers, freight forwarders, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor transactions for regulatory compliance.
Analyze data to identify trends and process improvements.
Support audits by gathering docs and responding to information requests.
Maintain records of adjustments, refunds, and compliance activities.
Stay updated on changes in customs laws and trade agreements.
Assist in developing customs compliance policies and procedures.
