The ideal candidate holds MSc/PhD in Geology/Geophysics or Reservoir Engineering with 8+ years in geothermal exploration, modeling, and development, and will collaborate across geologists, engineers, and construction teams to drive success.

Qualifications

MSc/PhD in Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering or related field.
8+ years in geothermal energy exploration and project development.
Experience in reservoir modeling, well design, and drilling management for geothermal systems.
Familiarity with geothermal plant technologies (e.g., flash steam, binary cycle).
Strong understanding of the South Africa geological context for geothermal resources.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct geological and geophysical assessments for geothermal resource potential.
Perform reservoir engineering studies and modeling.
Oversee drilling operations for geothermal wells with safety and efficiency.
