Placements24 is seeking a Lead Geothermal Energy Systems Developer in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA. The role focuses on guiding resource exploration, reservoir modeling, and the development of sustainable geothermal power facilities.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with EPC partners to drive project success. Candidates should possess a Master’s or PhD in a related field, with 10+ years of geothermal experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Earth Sciences, Geothermal Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of specialized geothermal experience.
• Experience managing large-scale geothermal projects.
• Proficiency with geothermal reservoir modeling and simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of geothermal project development from exploration to commissioning.
• Lead subsurface investigations and well drilling campaigns to characterize resources.
• Design geothermal power plant systems including reservoir engineering and power conversion.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk for projects.
