Placements24 in East London is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to major projects. You will plan site investigations, analyze soil and rock data, and develop designs for foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks.

The role requires a Master's degree, 5+ years experience, and proficiency in PLAXIS and GeoStudio. You will report findings to clients and work with engineers and construction teams to ensure safe, sustainable infrastructure.

Formación

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil with geotechnical specialization.
• Professional registration with ECSA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in geotechnical investigation and design.
• Proficiency in PLAXIS and GeoStudio for analysis and modeling.
• Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics and engineering geology.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and supervise site investigations including drilling and soil sampling.
• Analyze soil and rock data to determine ground characteristics.
• Provide design recommendations for foundations, retaining walls and earthworks.
• Assess slope stability, subsidence and seismic risks.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and present findings to clients.
• Coordinate with construction teams to implement geotechnical recommendations.
