Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng) required.
• At least 5 years of geotechnical investigation and design experience.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio and Plaxis.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations including drilling, soil sampling, and in-situ testing.
• Perform geotechnical analysis for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Prepare geotechnical reports with design recommendations and specs.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate findings.

About the Role

This role involves assessing soil conditions, designing foundations, and providing recommendations for earthworks and slope stability on various construction projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of infrastructure and building foundations across the Northern Cape region. This hybrid position allows for field investigations and on-site consultations combined with office-based analysis and reporting, offering a dynamic work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed geotechnical analysis of soil and rock mechanics for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.

Requirements
