This role is crucial for assessing ground conditions and providing essential geotechnical recommendations for a wide range of construction projects, from residential developments to major infrastructure. You will be involved in site investigations, laboratory testing interpretation, and the design of foundations, earthworks, and slope stability solutions. The hybrid model allows for a flexible working arrangement, combining essential fieldwork with office-based analysis and reporting, contributing to sustainable development in the region.
- Plan and oversee geotechnical site investigations, including drilling and soil sampling.
- Analyze soil and rock mechanics data, interpreting laboratory test results.
- Design foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with slope stability, settlement, and seismic activity.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical investigation reports and provide recommendations for construction.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure sound geotechnical engineering practices are implemented.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical investigation and design.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio) is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret borehole logs and laboratory test data accurately.
