Placements24 is seeking a Geologist - Exploration for a role in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead field mapping, sample collection, and integrated modeling to identify mineral resources. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration geology.
• Experience with multiple mineral deposit types, especially Kimberley region.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Leapfrog, or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Knowledge of geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques.
• Experience planning and supervising drilling campaigns.
• Strong interpretation, mapping and core logging skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams in remote locations.

This role is pivotal in identifying and evaluating new mineral resources, contributing directly to the company's growth and discovery pipeline. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of exploration, from conceptual targeting to resource definition, utilizing advanced geological techniques and data analysis. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of mineral deposit types relevant to the Northern Cape region, and a passion for geological fieldwork. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality geological reports, summaries, and presentations for internal review and external stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards during all exploration activities.
• Contribute to the estimation and reporting of mineral resources according to industry standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Maintain accurate geological databases and spatial data management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration geology.
• Demonstrable experience with various mineral deposit types, particularly those found in Kimberley, Northern Cape .
• Proficiency in geological software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, or similar 3D modeling packages.
• Strong understanding of geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques.
• Experience in planning and supervising drilling programs.
• Excellent geological interpretation, mapping, and core logging skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in remote locations.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
