Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group is seeking a General Manager for South Africa to lead a large outsourced property services operation. You will own performance, people and service standards while ensuring contractual SLAs are met and profitability targets are achieved.

You will report to the Managing Executive and oversee an Operations Manager and a Regional Administration Manager, translating strategic objectives into practical plans, budgets and measurable results in a demanding client environment.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6 to 7 Degree or Advanced Diploma.
• Matric or Senior Certificate.
• SAFMA Certified Facilities Supervisor registration.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• At least three years of managerial experience in outsourced property services.
• Operational, CRM and financial management capability.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Act, ISO 9001 and risk management systems.
• MS Office suite proficiency including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational planning, staffing and decisions to hit profit targets and SLAs.
• Develop strategic plans informed by technology, operations and finance.
• Establish budgets, performance measures and resource plans.
• Coordinate procurement, production, field and technical service activities.
• Establish clear management accountabilities and promote information sharing.
• Maintain relationships with customers, employees and stakeholders; uphold ethics.
• Establish and enforce quality, health and safety standards.
• Coach and develop managers to improve capability and performance.
• Manage employee relations and action in line with company policies.
• Build capability of subordinate managers and strengthen management effectiveness.
