Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Hotel General Manager to lead its flagship property in Benoni, South Africa. This executive role carries full responsibility for delivering operational and financial success, guiding all departments, ensuring guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.

You will shape strategy, oversee front-office, F&B, sales, and maintenance, manage staff, optimize costs, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Hotel General Manager or senior executive in the hotel industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing P&L, revenue generation and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, sales, marketing and customer service best practices.
• Experience with hotel management systems (PMS) and related software.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, F&B, sales & marketing, and maintenance.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Ensure exceptional guest service standards across all touchpoints.
• Manage hotel staff including recruitment, training, performance management and motivation.
• Control operational costs and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
• Maintain the property and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
