University of Fort Hare is seeking a procurement professional to manage routine purchasing, supplier follow-ups, purchase orders and procurement administration within a mining and engineering environment.

Ideal candidates will hold Matric and a CIPS Level 3 or relevant qualification, with at least 2 years in mining/engineering procurement, plus strong Excel and ERP (Navision) skills.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• CIPS Level 3 or relevant Procurement/Supply Chain qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' procurement experience in Mining or Engineering.
• Strong Supply Chain and purchasing knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience - MS Navision advantageous.
• Experience with purchase orders, RFQs, quotations and supplier management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement controls, SOPs and approved supplier processes.
