The position involves placing orders, managing inventory levels, and compiling reports, all within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NQF 6 qualification in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management / Logistics or studying towards one.
• Minimum of 4 years sourcing experience in aftermarket spares.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).

A massive manufacturerwithin construction and mining is currently looking for a Brilliant Buyer toadd to their team.

DUTIES:

• Placing, expediting and rescheduling of orders on SAP, according toMRP exception messages, timeously.
• Maintain static data on SAP of materials and suppliers (Country ofOrigin, Tariff headings, lead times, price, delivery dates etc.)
• Drive cost and lead time down.
• Effect annual 3rd Party stock Returns until credit is passed.
• Establish and maintain excellent business relationships withsuppliers, forwarding & Clearing agents.
• Manage inventory levels efficiently and effectively as per thestocking policies as mandated by Management.
• Monitor and manage own performance
• Compile monthly reports
• Assist other departments and staff to resolve queries timeously.
• Evaluate Supplier price increases, make recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must have a NQF 6qualification in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management / Logistics orstudying towards one of these qualifications having completed the1st year of studies.
• Applicants must have SAP MRP, Inventory Management experience
• Applicants must have a minimum of 4years purchasing / sourcing experience in aftermarket spares inAutomotive/Earthmoving or similar environment.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables,v-lookup, graphs and spread sheets)
• Strong business sense
• Strong negotiating and persuasion skills
• Excellent in building and maintainingrelationships with excellent communication skills at all levels with agood command in English.
