Job summary

Hire Resolve's client in North-West is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for mining operations. You will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, raise purchase orders, track deliveries and ensure cost-effective, compliant procurement.

Requirements include Grade 12, a Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement, 3–6 years' mining procurement experience, strong negotiation and ERP skills, with SAP/Ariba/Coupa experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement from requisition to delivery.

• Maintain supplier relationships and follow up on orders and deliveries.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and delivery requirements.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and controls.
• Resolve supplier, invoice and purchasing discrepancies.
• Liaise with Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores and other departments.
• Maintain procurement records and reports.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier performance.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Buyer to join their company based in North-West.You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier engagement through to purchasing and delivery, while ensuring cost-effective and compliant procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process from purchase requisition through to purchase order and delivery.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations and make appropriate purchasing recommendations.
• Manage supplier relationships and follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and delivery requirements.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, approval requirements and commercial controls.
• Resolve supplier, invoice, delivery and purchasing discrepancies.
• Liaise with Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores and other operational departments.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and purchasing reports.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of required goods and services.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier performance.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and efficiencies.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement
• Minimum 3 - 6 years' experience as a Buyer within a mining environment
• Strong supplier negotiation and commercial skills
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and procurement controls
• Strong Excel and ERP/procurement system experience
• SAP / Ariba / Coupa experience will be advantageous
• Valid Driver's License
