Job summary

Headhunters is seeking a seasoned regional sales leader to guide a team of Sales Representatives across FMCG, Consumer Goods or Food Manufacturing sectors in Gauteng, South Africa. You will drive business development, negotiate major contracts and expand national retail relationships.

The role demands a track record of growing sales, building strategic partnerships, and delivering profitable growth while mentoring regional teams to achieve targets and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Management or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce or other CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate and develop a team of Sales Representatives to achieve regional sales targets.
• Develop and execute commercial sales strategies that deliver profitable growth.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts.
• Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key retail, wholesale and independent customers.
• Negotiate pricing, promotional activities, trading terms and customer agreements.
• Monitor regional sales performance and implement improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
• Analyse sales performance, customer profitability and market trends.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure exceptional customer service and execution.
• Ensure effective account management while delivering sustainable and profitable business growth.
