Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Main Gate Guest Assistant to oversee gate security and guest flow at a premium establishment in Franschhoek. You will manage check-in, provide directions, and welcome guests with a warm, professional approach.

The role requires at least 2 years in a reception or guest relations position within hospitality, with a preference for candidates from Franschhoek or nearby areas. Flexible shifts including weekends and nights are expected.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate smooth check-in at Main Gate for all guests.
• Direct guests to allocated destinations on the estate.
• Welcome back for returning guests and acknowledge special occasions.
• Manage front desk area, answer calls, and direct inquiries to departments.
• Address guest concerns, escalating to Manager on Duty when needed.
• Coordinate with Reservations for modifications or special requests.
• Liaise with F&B and Housekeeping for dietary requirements and requests.
• Handle emergencies or incidents ensuring safety and security.
• Maintain guest records in Protel with accurate data entry.
• Process payments securely and perform end-of-shift cash-ups.
• Coordinate with housekeeping for room readiness and maintenance issues.
