Job summary

Crew-Life-at-Sea is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our galley team in Cape Town. You will prepare and cook high-quality dishes within your assigned section, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and hygiene in a fast-paced onboard environment.

You will work closely with the kitchen team, follow recipes and menu standards, maintain a clean workstation, and support stock control while minimising waste and adhering to food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Hardworking and adaptable.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu standards.
• Manage and maintain your assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stock control and minimise food waste.
• Work efficiently with the wider kitchen team.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
• Support other kitchen duties when required.
