Job summary

JTC Group in Cape Town is seeking a capable Assistant Manager to lead a Fund Accounting team, producing financial statements, NAV valuations and management accounts for a portfolio of clients. You will manage direct reports, allocate tasks, review payments as a signatory, and monitor service levels to ensure timely reporting.

The role requires 3–5 years of PQE in finance or investment funds administration, professional accounting qualifications and IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Requires suitable accounting qualification (e.g. BComm / BAcc / BTech / B Bus Sci or equivalent).
• Member of CA(SA) / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and investment industry products; IFRS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and supervise allocated resources within the team to ensure timely production of financial statements and NAV valuations.
• Allocate tasks, coach and performance manage staff to ensure cohesive team functioning and delivery of deadlines.
• Review work, provide training, and promote knowledge sharing to maintain quality and consistency.
