Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Fund Accountant in Cape Town to prepare portfolio valuations and NAVs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will mentor junior staff and support client reporting, while interacting with fund managers and custodians to resolve issues.

You will contribute to management reporting and statutory filings, with a focus on compliance and quality service for clients across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Commerce degree with Financial Accounting 3, Taxation 1, Auditing 1 or Internal Auditing 2 or Internal Control & code of ethics.
• Corporate Law 1 or Commercial Law 2; Management accounting.
• SAIPA or CIMA or AG(SA) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee NAVs and client portfolio valuations.
• Support management reporting and statutory reporting for corporate entities.
• Mentor trainee fund accountants and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Coordinate with fund managers, brokers and custodians to resolve issues.
• Meet client, regulatory and statutory deadlines and assist external auditors.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual NAVs, management accounts and IPDs; annual statutory financials.
