Job summary

Curro Holdings Ltd in Cape Town seeks a Group 2 Preschool Teacher (full-time) at Rosen Castle Tyger Valley to commence duties January 2027. You will deliver Curro’s preschool curriculum, foster learner growth and create an engaging, safe classroom environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in ECD (min NQF 6) with at least one year of ECD teaching experience, a good understanding of the CAPS curriculum, and strong communication, planning and reporting skills to support learning through

Qualifications

Diploma in ECD or equivalent (min NQF level 6).
At least 1 year of ECD teaching experience.
Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
Facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Teaching duties including planning and overseeing activities (inside and outside the classroom), meals, hygiene, break times, sleep time, teaching materials and concerts.
Plan and manage administration, including lesson planning and assessment of outcomes, record-keeping, parent and learner meetings, overseeing student teachers and leading assemblies when required
Manage the classroom, including classroom design and setup for optimal performance, disciplinary rules and communication with learners and parents
Observe and record learner behaviour daily and manage feedback to parents and management as well as problem areas
Plan and manage extramural activities and aftercare, including homework
