Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in South Africa is seeking a Frontline Supervisory professional to ensure correct frontline procedures and efficient workflow. The role involves supervising staff, attending to cashier queries, and enforcing hygiene, safety, and security standards on the frontline.

The ideal candidate has a Matric and at least 2 years in a supervisory position, with preference for those who have managed a department.

Qualifications

• Matric minimum required.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role or department management is preferred.
• Experience in frontline operations or department management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and manage frontline staff.
• Respond to cashier queries and issues promptly.
• Authorize transactions per standard operating procedures.
• Monitor queues and maintain hygiene, safety, and security standards on the frontline.
• Oversee waste prevention and shrink control and coordinate HR activities such as training and communication.
• Ensure efficient cash office operations and complete daily documentation.

Requirements

• Matric Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position
• Previous experience in the Frontline department or department management experience
• Preference will be given to applicants who have managed a department

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Promptly respond to cashier queries and issues
• Authorize transactions per the SOP
• Manage queues proactively
• Manage and maintain hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards on the frontline
• Manage and maintain all security procedures
• Proactively manage the prevention of waste and shrink
• Manage the human resource (communication and training)
• Initiate and coordinate social responsibility activities
• Manage the efficient operation of the cash office
• Complete all required documents and administration daily
