Job summary

Hospitality & Outdoor is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to lead an aparthotel in Cape Town. You will oversee reception, guest relations and daily front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in PMS systems and a professional, service-driven approach. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-of-house in a hotel/aparthotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and guest-relations skills.
• Experience with hotel reservation systems or property management systems (PMS) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of reception and front-of-house areas.
• Lead, support and motivate the front office team across shifts.
• Coordinate duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Welcome guests professionally and oversee check-in/check-out procedures.
• Ensure accurate reservations, guest profiles, billing and special requests.
• Monitor arrivals, departures, room readiness and occupancy throughout the day.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve room issues promptly.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Complete shift handovers and communicate key operational information across departments.
• Verify guest accounts and payments; assist with cash-up and reporting.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation in guest areas.
• Uphold service procedures, standards and internal controls.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays when needed.

Hospitality & Outdoor is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to join an aparthotel in Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and experience overseeing reception, guest relations and daily front-of-house operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the reception team, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining service standards and delivering an excellent guest experience.
