Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is seeking a proactive sales professional in Johannesburg to grow our international freight forwarding client base. You will identify and sign new air and ocean freight accounts, network with potential customers, and present effective solutions.

Use your freight background to secure contracts, coordinate with pricing desks, and support onboarding to ensure smooth first shipments. A strong drive to grow sales and build relationships is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Proven external sales experience in international freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of air freight, ocean freight and customs clearing options.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain or sales is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Find and sign up new commercial air and ocean freight forwarding client accounts.
• Connect with potential business customers through regular calls, meetings and industry networking.
• Review customer shipping requirements and suggest effective cargo solutions.
• Work with internal pricing desks to prepare competitive client quotations.
• Present freight rate proposals to decision-makers and secure new contracts.
• Assist operations with onboarding new customers for smooth initial cargo movements.
• Keep sales pipeline updated and record all client interactions.
