Placements24 is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments from a base near Upington. You will coordinate bookings, track cargo, prepare documents, and liaise with carriers, brokers, and clients to ensure smooth transit and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Freight Forwarder or similar international logistics role.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in optimizing shipping processes, reducing transit times, and managing costs effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the booking and tracking of shipments via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Liaise with customs authorities, carriers, and clients to ensure compliance and timely clearance.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers to optimize costs.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the transit process.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
