Job summary

Communicate Finance in South Africa seeks a senior FP&A leader to drive budgeting, forecasting and performance insights for the business. You will present to the board and senior leadership, partner with commercial teams and lead a team of Financial Analysts to push automation and cost optimisation initiatives.

The role requires broad experience in FP&A, strong communication, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CA (SA) qualification.
• 8+ years in FP&A or senior finance roles.
• Exposure to retail or fintech is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Team leadership and staff management experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process across the business
• Delivering meaningful financial analysis and performance insights to senior leadership
• Driving automation and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Preparing and presenting board, executive, and stakeholder reporting
• Partnering with operational and commercial teams to support decision-making
• Leading financial modelling, business case development, and strategic projects
• Providing leadership, coaching, and development to a team of Financial Analysts
• Driving cost optimisation and supporting profitability initiatives across the business
• Ensuring reporting processes are accurate, efficient, and scalable
