Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Educator for the Foundation Phase (Grades R-3) in Rustenburg, North West. The role involves pedagogical leadership, mentoring junior teachers, and delivering high-quality early childhood education.

You will develop innovative teaching methods to foster literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional skills, building a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership and a deep understanding of child development.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• B.Ed. Foundation Phase or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of teaching experience in Foundation Phase with at least 2 years in leadership/mentoring roles.
• In-depth knowledge of CAPS curriculum for Grades R-3.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee Foundation Phase instructional program aligned with CAPS and best practices.
• Mentor and coach Foundation Phase teachers and foster PLCs.
• Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for holistic development.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe teaching and learning; provide constructive feedback and PD.
• Collaborate with parents to build strong home-school partnerships.
• Lead assessment and reporting for Foundation Phase students.
• Curate and manage teaching resources for young learners.
• Stay updated with ECD research and implement innovations.
• Participate in school-wide admin tasks and events.
