Placements24 in Bloemfontein seeks an innovative Formulation Scientist to join its pharmaceutical development team. You will design and optimize formulations across dosage forms, scale-up processes, and support technology transfer to manufacturing, contributing to pipeline advancement.

Ideal candidate holds a Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field, with at least 4 years in formulation development, strong knowledge of physical chemistry, and hands-on lab proficiency.

Qualifications

Masters or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related.
Minimum 4 years in pharmaceutical formulation development.
Hands-on experience with multiple dosage forms.
Strong understanding of physical chemistry and drug delivery.
Proficiency with laboratory equipment used in formulation development.

Responsibilities

Design and develop robust pharmaceutical formulations for various dosage forms (tablets, capsules, injectables).
Conduct pre-formulation studies and characterize APIs and excipients.
Optimize formulations for release profiles, stability, and bioavailability.
Oversee pilot-scale batches and support technology transfer to production sites.
Perform stability studies per ICH guidelines and analyze results.
Collaborate with analytical, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure successful development and registration.
