A well-established company in the materials handling industry is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Forklift Sales Representative to join its Cape Town sales team

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, construction, industrial, and materials handling sectors.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients while growing the customer portfolio.
• Sell new and used forklifts, attachments, and related equipment solutions.
• Assess customer operational needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and successfully close sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular client visits and deliver excellent after-sales support.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, and pipeline data.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Proven sales experience in forklift sales (new and/or used forklifts) or materials handling equipment [non-negotiable]
• Strong technical understanding of forklifts and the materials handling industry.
• Existing customer relationships within relevant industries will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in new business development and account management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience selling leading forklift brands and materials handling equipment.
• Sound knowledge of forklift specifications, applications, and operational requirements.
• Experience with equipment rental, fleet management, and capital equipment sales solutions.
