Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a forklift operator to ensure accurate issuing of packaging materials, safe forklift operation, and tight stock control within the packaging store and warehouse. You will support production by providing materials on request and maintaining clean, well-organised storage areas.

The role requires a valid forklift licence, experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment, basic computer skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric.
• Valid forklift operator certification/licence.
• Experience in warehouse, packaging store or manufacturing environment.
• Experience issuing/handling packaging materials is advantageous.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience using ERP/WMS is advantageous.
• Good understanding of warehouse and stock-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Issuing packaging materials from production requests and documenting issues.
• Operate forklift safely and conduct pre-use inspections.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform stock counts.
• Assist with put-away and loading/unloading of materials.
• Document material movements and ensure traceability.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures and keep areas well organised.
