Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to issue packaging materials to production lines and support manufacturing operations. The role includes safe forklift handling, stock accuracy, and timely material movements within the packaging store and warehouse areas.

Applicant should hold a valid forklift licence, possess basic computer skills, and have prior experience in a warehouse or packaging environment. Training will emphasize FIFO/FEFO, safety compliance and ERP data capture.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Valid forklift operator certification/licence is required.
• Previous warehouse, packaging store or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience issuing/handling packaging materials advantageous.
• Basic computer skills required.
• ERP/Warehouse Management System experience advantageous.
• Good understanding of warehouse and stock-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Issue packaging materials to production per authorised requests and documentation.
• Operate forklift safely; perform pre-use inspections and follow safety rules.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform cycle/physical counts.
• Store materials properly and monitor stock levels; report shortages or damages.
• Capture material movements in the ERP system and ensure traceability.
