Job summary

SOLEVO is seeking a Factory Operator in Gauteng, Boksburg to join our warehouse team. The role requires operating and maintaining forklifts, handling raw materials, weighing and loading products, and ensuring safety and housekeeping standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a forklift licence, is medically fit, and can work with minimal supervision, collaborating with Production and Despatch to ensure smooth operations. Prior chemical warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is mandatory.
• Medically fit to operate a forklift.
• 4 to 6 months training required.
• Warehouse experience in a chemical environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure forklifts are in good working and clean condition.
• Report any defects to Production Manager immediately.
• Upload forklift checks daily to the system (iPad).
• Ensure finished goods are safely packed on shelves.
• Prevent loading leaking drums onto delivery vehicles.
• Address all warehouse leaks immediately.
• Adhere to health, safety protocols and PPE.
• Collect picking slips and ensure accurate picking.
• Sign and return picking slips for delivery notes.
• Adhere to site, safety, manufacturing, quality procedures.
• Daily load and unload of trucks.
• Maintain daily housekeeping.
• Weigh raw materials.
• Operate manufacturing plant processes.
• Attend safety meetings.
