Placements24 is seeking a diligent Quality Control Technician for their Upington operation in the Northern Cape. You will perform QC checks on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods, conduct laboratory tests, and ensure compliance with food safety standards to maintain product integrity.

The role requires a National Diploma in a related field, at least 2 years of experience in food QC, and strong attention to detail.

Formación

• Diploma or higher in food technology, biotechnology, chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 2 years in quality control/assurance in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety standards.
• Experience with laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate reporting and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Perform QC checks on raw materials, in-process and finished goods.
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Document QC findings accurately and report deviations.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment for accuracy.
• Monitor processes to ensure QC parameters are met.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives and product development feedback.
