Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector for its Vereeniging, Gauteng facility. The role focuses on ensuring products meet strict quality and safety standards before reaching consumers, with a proactive approach to CAPA and audits.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in QA in the food & beverage sector, strong knowledge of HACCP/GMP/ISO 22000, and excellent documentation skills. Collaboration with production, R&D, and operations is essential for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Quality Control Inspector in food & beverage
• Solid understanding of food safety principles, QA methodologies, and regulations (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000)
• Proficiency in conducting quality tests and using laboratory equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities
• Familiarity with SPC is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Perform quality tests and analyze results to ensure specifications.
• Monitor production lines to identify quality deviations or non-conformances.
• Document inspection findings, create reports, and maintain quality records.
• Implement CAPA to address quality issues.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, ISO standards.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and lab instruments.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality problems in real time.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality management systems.
