Job summary

Aspire Recruiting (PTY) LTD is recruiting a Quality and Food Safety Coordinator in Bloemfontein to oversee HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 22002 compliance along with QA processes. You will drive auditing, traceability, and documentation control to safeguard consumer health and product quality.

The role includes supervising quality staff, coordinating laboratory testing, and maintaining hygiene, safety, and pest control programs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 22002, VACCP, and TACCP systems.
• Internal auditing experience and relevant audit training/certification is an advantage.
• Experience in grain milling or food manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the site’s HACCP, ISO 22000, and ISO 22002 food safety management systems, including PRP and CCP monitoring.
• Conduct monthly internal audits, track non-conformances, and manage the CPA register.
• Ensure documentation and records are captured and maintained per document control procedures.
• Perform traceability exercises on finished products and support export documentation requirements.
• Monitor key production quality control points in the Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct final product inspections and spot checks prior to dispatch.
• Oversee calibration and validation of testing equipment (IMTE) and coordinate external laboratory testing.
• Review final product specs and conduct required testing (micro, vitamin, mycotoxin).
• Issue Certificates of Analysis on client request.
• Oversee cleaning/sanitation programs and pest control on-site.
• Monitor inventory and obtain supplier quotes per budget procedures.
• Supervise quality staff and promote OHS standards.
