Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager for a Stellenbosch wine estate restaurant group. This opening-team role will shape culture, systems and service standards across two venues with both fine-dining and casual neighbourhood settings.

You will recruit, train and develop a high-performing FOH team, own the guest journey from reservations to farewells, and lead the beverage program with wine knowledge. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of front of house experience with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, develop and performance-manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard the front of house team for two venues from scratch.
• Own the guest journey across both venues: reservations, seating, service, and farewell.
• Oversee beverage programme, wine and whisky/whiskey knowledge, stock counts and ordering.
• Coordinate daily operations: opening/closing, POS accuracy, payroll inputs, SOPs.
• Liaise with estate stakeholders and suppliers; report on covers, spend and feedback.
