Placements24 seeks an experienced FMCG Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the Queenstown distribution center. You will lead warehouse staff, ensure accurate inventory, and uphold safety and efficiency to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff; assign tasks and monitor performance.

• Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order and used efficiently.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced FMCG Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their distribution center in Queenstown . You will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a safe and productive working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations within the fast-moving consumer goods sector . The ideal candidate will be adept at optimizing workflow, implementing best practices, and ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods to meet customer demands. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of products through the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure accurate receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of FMCG products .
• Maintain optimal inventory levels through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
• Manage warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and utilized efficiently.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy in warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the FMCG or logistics industry .
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Physical ability to perform warehouse duties as needed and work in a fast-paced environment.
