Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Trade Marketing Manager for a premium beverages client in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will design and execute trade marketing strategies across retail and wholesale channels in South Africa, collaborating with Sales and Marketing to optimize in-store promotions, merchandising, and POS materials.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years in trade marketing within FMCG, a strong grasp of SA retail dynamics, and strong analytical, budgeting, and relationship-management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years in trade marketing within FMCG/beverages.
• Proven ability to develop and execute trade marketing strategies in SA retail.
• Strong understanding of SA retail dynamics and shopper behavior.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement trade marketing plans to support sales and drive volume growth.
• Develop in-store promotions, merchandising programs, and POS materials.
• Collaborate with sales to provide tools, training, and support for initiatives.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Manage the trade marketing budget for optimal ROI.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail partners, distributors, and key customers.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure brand visibility and correct product placement in outlets per guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and shopper trends.
