Placements24 is seeking a Regional Sales Director based in Gauteng to drive revenue growth for a leading FMCG portfolio. You will lead a high-performing sales team, nurture key retailer partnerships, and expand market share across Gauteng with a hybrid work model.

The role requires a strong track record in FMCG sales leadership, a relevant degree (MBA preferred), and the ability to balance field activity with strategic planning. Travel across the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sales leadership in FMCG.
• Proven track record of leading teams and revenue growth.
• Extensive knowledge of FMCG market, distribution channels, and Gauteng retail landscape.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Hybrid work capability; travel within region; driving license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers in Gauteng.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
• Manage regional sales budget and cost control.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product teams.
• Travel within region as required.
