Job summary

Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our FMCG manufacturing operations on-site. You will implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure products meet specifications from raw materials to finished goods.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in QA/QC, with knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP, plus hands-on testing and documentation skills. You will train staff and maintain records to uphold product integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in QA/QC within FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP.
• Experience with QA testing methods and laboratory equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) per industry standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits of production, facilities, finished products.
• Develop and execute quality testing procedures for materials and products.
• Investigate deviations, customer complaints, and CAPA implementation.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Train production staff on quality standards and procedures.
