Placements24 is seeking a meticulous FMCG Quality Assurance Officer to join our Stellenbosch team. This role focuses on upholding quality and safety standards across all products, implementing and maintaining QA systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant science, at least 3 years in QA/QC within FMCG, and solid knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP, plus strong data analysis and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the FMCG sector, preferably food and beverage.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality management systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting related to quality metrics.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures for all FMCG products.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international food safety and quality regulations.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
