About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is actively seeking a dedicated and proactive FMCG Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is central to ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality consumer products, meeting stringent quality standards and production targets. You will lead a team of production staff, manage daily operations, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities on the manufacturing floor, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards for FMCG products.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of production operators and line workers to achieve optimal performance and maintain a safe working environment in Richards Bay .
- Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and product defects.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage production resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to meet production targets efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role, preferably within the FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively relay instructions and feedback.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing context.
